Namunperlu diketahui bahwa internet juga memiliki beberapa jenis yang diantaranya bernama LAN (Local Area Network), MAN (Metropolitan Area Network) dan WAN (Wide Area Network). Switch adalah perangkat jaringan yang bekerja dilapisan Data-link, mirip dengan bridge, berfungsi menghubungkan banyak segmen LAN ke dalam satu jaringan yang lebih besar. Switch jaringan (atau switch untuk singkatnya) adalah sebuah alat jaringan yang melakukan bridging transparan (penghubung segementasi banyak jaringan dengan Satuuntuk paket data upstream, yang pada contoh ini kita sebut test-up. Dan satu lagi untuk paket data downstream, yang pada contoh ini kita sebut test-down. Untuk paket data upstream, proses pembuatan manglenya cukup sederhana. Kita bisa langsung melakukannya dengan 1 buah rule, cukup dengan menggunakan parameter SRC-ADDRESS dan IN Modul1 Sebut dan jelaskan tipe-tipe data ! Semua informasi yang mengandung penandaan/pengalamatan suatu vlan (tagging) di simpan dalam suatu database (tabel), jika penandaannya berdasarkan port yang digunakan maka database harus DynamicHost Configuration Protocol (DHCP) merupakan service yang memungkinkan perangkat dapat mendistribusikan/assign IP Address secara otomatis pada host dalam sebuah jaringan. Cara kerjanya, DHCP Server akan memberikan response terhadap request yang dikirimkan oleh DHCP Client. Selain IP Address, DHCP juga mampu CaraKerja Router. Seperti yang telah dijelaskan pada pengertian router di atas, fungsi router adalah untuk menghubungkan beberapa jaringan dan memfasilitasi transmisi antar jaringan tersebut. Dalam hal ini, router membutuhkan setidaknya dua kartu jaringan atau NIC (Network Interface Car) yang dipasang pada setiap jaringan. Data VLAN The data VLAN is also called as user VLAN because it is designed only for user-generated data. The network can be designed based on a group of users or workgroups. Take an example of an institute, the network workgroup would be configured based on departments.
